How to Get Into Your Locked Car

Mar 1, 2011 01:01 AM

Tools You Will Need

1. A screwdriver, a flat head is preferable; better still would be a wedge object such as a filed down flat head screwdriver (the minus sign one)

2. A Wire coat hanger whose shape will later be manipulated

Tips

  • There are also objects called slim jims that you are able to purchase but that costs money so these items will have to do

The Wedge

You will want to take your wedge item and pry the door slightly ajar from the top.  Leave the wedge stuck in the door.  The wedge should not move and will leave a gap in the top of the car door.

The Wire Coat Hanger

You must completely unravel the wire coat hanger so it is at its full length.  Once that is finished you will make a small hook similar to a fishing hook at one end of the hanger.  Stick this end into the opening in the door and press or pull the lock mechanism.

Tips

Depending on whether the car is button operated or knob operated you will have to manipulate the hanger

The Alarm

Once you are in, you will have to quickly acquire your keys and turn the alarm off.
